we have been at steve and mias since before christmas . mia took us to the airport and we spent a fine time at home for christmas too much food good presents and quality time spent with friends and family . our stay was topped of with the fiftieth wedding aniversary of jan and joe.
while at the aniversary i had an alchol induced revlation that this tripcof ours dould be termed as a "victory lap" for joyce and i. we have our kids raised have money in the bank and haven't died yet so it is a victory of sorts. New Years day the noland family and us went to an abandonded underground missle site in tuscon. it is the only one I think the world and is very interesting to see how during the cold war we could have been on the brink of a nuclear holcaust. also we went to a museum the pima air museum to see just about every type of aircraft imaginable from a retired airforce one to the tiniest of airplanes.
today joyce and i are packing up and heading up to gary and barbs . i guess we are going to stay with them but can park the capmer wt the golf course so will see what the day brings. the weather is nice and warm. finally the warm weather we have been looking for. yesterday we went to a state park near steve and mias house where we had a picknic and went on a birdawathing trail and and an archeaological dig of an extict indaian tribed e , both of which had some merit. we have both imeselky enjoyed spending time with the noland kids.
