On the road again!
We finally were able to leave Bellingham on Friday, and this is the question I have for Mr Schueller's Geography Class, "We drove approxiately 372 miles from Bellingham straight South. Stayed there overnight and then drove another 60 miles straight West.' Where are we? We arrived at this spectacular tourist attraction, Sea Lion Caves. In the photo you'll see nearly 200 sea lions that winter in the largest cave in the United States that harbors the lions over the winter. The sound was almost deaffening... their sounds reminded us of a lions roar or a better sound known to us, of a mother cow bellering for her calf. The smell is quite undescribable. We were so excited that fate took us west that morning, rather than driving the boring freeway. The light house above is the Heceta Head Light House...it might give you a clue as to where we are.
