Darlingtonia Bog

We stopped at a very rare part of a national forest that harbors this bog with these rare flowers called Darlingtonia. They are like a lady slipper in MN but even more rare. I thought Mr. Curley and his class might enjoy seeing these rare specimens and maybe they could research the plant and let us know more about them.

the darlingtonia is a carnivorous plant. found in Oregon and Calif.
I've also been to the caves with the sea lions. Did you go down in the elevator?

Yes, it was so cool, about 200 sea lions down there at the time. Really cool sand dunes along that part of the coast as well. Joyce
